Community Engagement

Responsible for Audience Development, Community Building and Outreach.
Development

As a nonprofit media company, we rely on diverse sources for the funding to create the content and to provide the services New Yorker’s have come to rely on from public radio. Our Development Department oversees New York Public Radio’s comprehensive fundraising efforts which include membership and patron programs, major donor cultivation and work to secure support from government sources as well as foundations and institution’s that believe in our public service mission.
Digital Media - Technology and Business Development

Creators of websites, mobile apps, interactive maps and pretty cool partnerships.
Engineering and Information Technology

Designs, builds and maintains all the technology that keeps us on the airwaves - from the microphone to the transmitters, keeping the bits and bytes flowing to and from creative fingertips.
Finance and Administration

Home to our Finance, Legal, and Facilities teams - where the numbers are crunched, the right things are done and the lights kept on!
Human Resources

Marketing

The Marketing Department are the keepers of the our brands and collaborate across the organization on creative executions, producing advertising campaigns and promotions, branded materials and audience research for our content brands (WNYC, WQXR and The Greene Space).

The Publicity team makes sure the media world is informed about all the exciting things happening at New York Public Radio.
The Greene Space

The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, our street-front broadcast studio and performance venue, produces a full season of original programming – as well as WNYC and WQXR shows, concerts and events – for live, radio and online audiences.
Corporate Underwriting

The Underwriting team cultivates corporate sponsors who want to reach our highly-educated, well-traveled and culturally active audiences, while supporting our award-winning programming produced by WNYC, WQXR and The Greene Space.
WNYC Programming, Administration

WNYC, at 93.9 FM, 820 AM and wnyc.org, produces a wide range of programs for local and national audiences and is a major content provider for public radio stations across the country. In addition to its award-winning newsroom, WNYC has a long history of Peabody awards: Studio 360, Radiolab, On the Media, The Brian Lehrer Show, The Leonard Lopate Show and Radio Rookies are recent recipients of the broadcast media world’s most prestigious award.
WQXR Programming, Administration

WQXR, at 105.9 FM and wqxr.org, is New York’s only all-classical music station, presenting landmark recordings and live performances from New York’s greatest music venues, and appearances by our city’s world-class musicians. Online, WQXR serves the global classical music community through online listening, playlists and cultural news. Two additional online streaming music services, Q2 and Operavore, are dedicated to music of contemporary composers and opera, respectively.
