Allison Russell at Irving Plaza

Oct. 20 | 6 pm | $35.60+

Allison Russell has been half of the folk band Birds of Chicago and part of the banjo-based quartet Our Native Daughters. But since she started releasing her solo albums in 2021, she’s become known for her honest and insightful lyrics, as well as her mix of roots music with pop. Now a Grammy-winner, Allison Russell has put out an album called In The Hour Of Chaos, and despite its perhaps foreboding title, it’s an album about connection and community as a way of dealing with chaotic times. She plays some songs from that album tonight, on October 20th, at Irving Plaza.
