We’re in the middle of summer 2026 when the New York region becomes a beach wonderland. And there are many options for beach lovers out there. You can go to the public beaches here in the city, or head out to Long Island or the Jersey Shore. Now, the friendly rivalry between New York and New Jersey runs deep, so we thought we’d ask some opinionated locals which state’s shoreline has the better beaches?
