Manuel Valera & New Cuba Express at LunAtico

Oct. 30 | 9 pm | $10

Perhaps the scariest thing about Halloween concerts is how hard it is to get tickets for most of them. But if you’re not interested in costumes and jump-scares, bandleader Manuel Valera and his Grammy-nominated New Cuban Express Big Band might have just the thing. Valera was born and raised in Cuba, but lives here in New York and is a professor at NYU. His New Cuban Express began recording in 2012 and offers up a contemporary take on Latin jazz. They play tonight, on October 30, at LunAtico.
