New Jerseyans who take ADHD meds face a return to pre-pandemic prescription rules

New Jerseyans who take medications for attention deficit disorders will soon face a return to pre-pandemic rules for getting prescriptions renewed.

During the height of the COVID pandemic, then-Governor Murphy relaxed regulations for Schedule Two medications, which include ADHD medications, to ensure patients stayed on track with treatment. But that ends Saturday.

Dr. Anthony Rostain chairs the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cooper University Health Care. He joined WNYC Morning Edition host Michael Hill to talk about the return to in-person visits for prescriptions.
