NYC could see new requirements for treatment of pregnant people in NYPD custody

New York City could see new requirements on how NYPD officers treat pregnant people and in their custody and people who are arrested when children are present and require police to track children who are present when their caregivers are arrested.

Councilmember Selvena Brooks-Powers, who sponsored these sets of bills, joined WNYC's Sean Carlson to talk more about these bills.
