Traffic Citations: WNYC's monthly look at traffic deaths and safety improvements in NYC

Thirteen people died in traffic on New York City streets in June, including one on the same deadly stretch of Linden Boulevard that the city has targeted for safety improvements. 

There were also some major traffic safety projects announced, including proposed bus and bike lane upgrades along Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, and the 34th Street busway. 

WNYC Senior Producer Alec Hamilton spoke with Morning Edition host Tiffany Hanssen.
