Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue at NJPAC

Oct. 23 | 8 pm | $58.10+

Troy Andrews is from New Orleans, from the Tremé neighborhood in fact. And he appeared in multiple episodes of the TV series, Treme. But music fans will know Troy Andrews as Trombone Shorty, who has been playing the trombone publicly since he was four. He’s mastered the sounds of New Orleans jazz and funk, and has become a kind of musical ambassador for the city, playing at major NBA and NFL games, the Grammy Awards, and the White House. Tomorrow night, on October 23, he plays with the legendary singer Mavis Staples, at NJPAC in Newark.
