In Season: preserved produce

WNYC News | 3 hours ago

As the seasons change and new produce takes over New York City's farmers' markets, GrowNYC is challenging produce lovers to spice up their autumnal cooking with specific ingredients this October.

To kick it all off, GrowNYC Program and Publicity Manager Amelia Tarpey wants people to preserve some produce from the seasonal bounty.

Fall berries, like strawberries and raspberries, cost between $7 and $9 per pint.

Be alert for scams. WNYC never asks for nor accepts money for coverage or interviews. Anyone making such a request does not represent WNYC.
