Who will be New York City's next dog mayor? You decide!

WNYC News | Oct 30

New Yorkers will vote in a consequential and contentious race next week; Dog Mayor of New York City. Will it be Machka the Anatolian Shepard Mix? Or Dr. Computer Chips the Shih Tzu? You decide! Voting takes place Monday, November 2nd, from midnight to midnight.

WNYC host Michael Hill is joined by Stephen Calabria, founder and director of DogMayorNYC, to discuss why the city needs a dog mayor now more than ever, accusations of voter fraud, and how to make your vote count.

Then, Kylen Button, the "pawrent" of Machka, and Kelsey Murphy, Dr. Chips' "pawrent," provide a final pitch to voters on why they think their pooch should be your next mayor.

Be alert for scams. WNYC never asks for nor accepts money for coverage or interviews. Anyone making such a request does not represent WNYC.
