Terrace Martin at the Blue Note

May 25-31. $49.43 - $54.99. 8PM and 10:30PM.

Five-time Grammy nominee Terrace Martin is part of the new breed of musicians who work across the boundaries of jazz, hip hop, and pop. Like his colleagues and occasional bandmates Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington, he is comfortable leading a jazz combo but has probably become even better known for producing music for Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg. Martin began as a sax player, and has been rapping and singing as well, drawing inspiration from funk groups like Parliament and from boundary-breaking jazz artists like Herbie Hancock. The singer, rapper and sax player Terrace Martin plays at the Blue Note May 26-31, two sets a night.
