Isaiah Collier at Blue Note
Sax player Isaiah Collier is a composer and bandleader whose 2024 album The World Is On Fire was a manifesto about dark times and the spirit needed to survive them. This year, Collier is marking the centennial of the birth of John Coltrane, the legendary sax player and musical seeker, whose album A Love Supreme remains one of the great jazz albums of the 20th century; and he’s doing that by playing the complete Coltrane work with his band, The Chosen Few.
