  • Thank you for this segment. I tell my kids that there are not that many bad people out there in the world. The enemy is most often ignorance and fear, and the solution is education, empathy and contact with other cultures. After all -- we humans ought to remember our core business: self-preservation!

  • china argues that "america had its time to pollute and consume, so how dare they try and tell us not to pollute and buy cars." response to their argument, which is heard from chinese leaders and middle class alike? the position is reasserted as if it is a core national value. Can they not be persuaded to find pride in "leapfrogging" pollution as they have done with other technologies? You can't very well blog as you're being driven by a self-driving google-car, if you're dead!

  • Why didn't he run on saving ourselves (or what Fox viewers and fundraisers call Saving the "environment" in 2000? It would be great to hear him address that directly, we could really have used that discourse and public learning curve, at that time.
