  • Cory Booker is great!!! Christie will never agree to gay marriage, not because he disagrees with it (which I don't think he does) but because it would be comitting political suicide. He may be a 'rational' republican, but he's no bloomberg.

  • This is creepy. What happens to your privacy at the hand of someone else's use of these apps?? Say I refuse to use any social apps or smartphones for privacy reasons, what's to keep these developers from getting my information out of someone elses use of these apps on their phones?

  • Why is the teacher's union so consistently paranoid to any form of evaluation? What is happening inside the school system that has everyone on edge about just doing their job? I've yet to hear of any other union that is so adamant about keeping bad workers and so convinced that they'll be 'unfairly' evaluated!!!

  • The guest briefly touched on woman empowerement and war and it had me going back to the previous conversation on contraception. Was this a tool used by the catholic church to perpetuate some of the wars they've engaged in throughout the centuries.

  • "it's a fundamentally different type of relationship because it's not a life-giving one. It doesn't have that potential, and so the state doesn't have the same interest in promoting it." Following this logic: . Women over 50 should not be allowed a marriage certificate . Infertile men & women should not be given the right to marry . Women should not be allowed to have children out of wedlock. . Artificial insemination and IVF should be deemed illegal and discontinued.. . (etc.) Notice how all of the above are enforced restrictions on personal freedoms that are otherwise options to everyone else!! How anyone can't see this as a civil rights issue is beyond me, no matter which side of the fence you're on! The hypocrisy behind these justifications are getting old & tired.. I have yet to hear an argument AGAINST gay marriage that makes sense and can stand on it's own and not involve religion. Why fight so hard to restrict people's freedom's instead of encouraging them? Especially on such a harmless non-issue. Lets face it, this is just another covert method of encouraging homophobia. They are just not "good enough" and they should remain "ashamed of themselves".

  • I think many of us are aware the phone is on, even when the screen is off and signals are flowing back & forth if your GPS is on or your service is up. The point here is that even when you've explicitly turned these services off (Wi-fi/GPS/3G), the normal assumption is that you are no longer being tracked... Yet you ARE!!! I use GPS and wiFi all the time on my phone and I even willingly "agree to provide google with location information" when I turn my GPS antenna on, I understand the value of gathering data... but there's just something sneaky about there being an offline tracking database when a user has explicitly turned off these services...
