CBGB Makes a Comeback

The New York punk rock club CBGB closed its doors in 2006, after 33 years of playing host to bands like Television, Talking Heads, and the Ramones. But now, investors have announced plans for an upcoming CBGB music festival - and possible plans to reopen the club. The late Joe Strummer was more than a punk rocker. With the Clash and on his own, he helped give the punk movement a social conscience. That process is the story behind the book and the documentary called “Let Fury Have The Hour,” both written by Antonino D’Ambrosio. He joins us to talk about rebel music and global citizens.
