The Republican National Committee voted unanimously last Friday to pull their partnership with CNN and NBC due to the networks' planned films focusing on Hillary Rodham Clinton. Kathleen Hall Jamieson explains the decision, and how it could affect the upcoming presidential election. Jamieson is the Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

Accusations are mounting against Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain. In a press conference on Monday, a woman from Chicago, Sharon Bialek, openly accused Cain of groping her inappropriately when she was seeking a job over a decade ago. She is the first to publicly accuse Mr. Cain. Bialek was accompanied by superstar lawyer Gloria Allred. The Cain campaign issued a statement moments after the news conference started saying, "Activist celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred is bringing forth more false accusations against the character of Republican front-runner Herman Cain."

Sharon Bialek has become the fourth woman to accuse Republican presidential candidate of sexual harassment. In 1997, Bialek said Cain made unwelcome advances while she was meeting with him about a potential job. The Cain campaign has released a statement yesterday saying that "all allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false."

Yesterday, a half-dozen senior advisers on the Newt Gingrich presidential campaign team resigned. Gingrich’s campaign manager was among the six. At the very least they’ve made the political comeback that Gingrich was working on a bit more complicated. At worst, they’d destroyed his hopes for unseating President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.
