Next week marks the 100th anniversary of the 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art. Better known as the Armory Show, it was the first large exhibition of modern art in America. It was also the first time many New Yorkers found themselves face-to-face with the work of artists like Duchamp, Seurat, and Picasso.

NASA wants to take you on a mission to Mars. No, not that NASA -- the other one based out of the lower Manhattan studio of artist Tom Sachs. His installation, "Space Program: Mars," opened at the 55,000 square-foot drill hall of the Park Avenue Armory on Wednesday.

Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara's and his Japanese collaborators are working on an installation that will open September 9 at the Asia Society, and right now fans are flocking to the Park Avenue Armory to see the artist at work.
