A What-Christie-Knew-When Timeline

Monday, February 03, 2014

Gov. Christie has denied haveing any knowledge of the lane closures. (Governor's Office/Tim Larsen)

Former Port Authority official David Wildstein released a letter Friday claiming "evidence exists" that shows Governor Christie knew about the George Washington Bridge lane closings as they were happening, contrary to what he said in a January press conference. Christie responded with a letter of his own accusing Wildstein and The New York Times of botching the facts. New Jersey Public Radio reporter Matt Katz discusses the latest news, and tries to lay out a "what-Christie-knew-when" timeline.

That's Biological, Chemical, Nuclear, Radiological.

Try to read something other than some FAKE anti-war blog.

Rumsfeld did shake Sadaam Husseins hand and that is why the US never invaded his regime - because they were such good friends.

> . funny how you forget that when you are trying to scrape up excuses for your failure Party , failure president , failure world view ..

You don't understand the irony of your comment. LOL!

17 TRILLION dollar deficit ring a bell?

Obamacare works great - just like Obama predicted. LOL!

The millions of unemployed people who gave up looking for work and aren't reflected in the unemployment stats don't matter.

Blaming a stupid muhammed video on the terrorist attack on the US embassy in Benghazi.

All you can do is blame Bush for Obamas failures.

I don't think JFK would recognize today's hijacked regressive progressive democrat party.

What is a WMD? Try the gun that was used to kill all those school children in Ct ... Any time ONE man can use a gun to kill more than 1 person at a time...... that is a weapon of mass destruction.. the key here is DESTRUCTION .. funny how you forget that when you are trying to scrape up excuses for your failure Party , failure president , failure world view ..
Rumsfeld was shaking Saddam's hand when he was gassing Kurds .. NO calling for weapons of mass destruction during THAT massacre during THAT REPUBLICAN administration.. What hypocrites. YOu need a DEMOCRAT to teach you to spell, And a Democrat to teach you history as well. You are out of your league here.

Which is worse? I say causing thousands of American deaths, devastating a country and causing hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths and the increase in militant Islamic terrorist groups in the Middle East.. turning a budget surplus into the huge deficit and the worst financial crisis since the great depression, presiding over the Katrina disaster where MORE than FOUR people died in plain sight on US soil. etc etc etc ... your turn Fake American fox news plants.....

Sadaam Hussein used poison gas, a WMD, on the Kurds of Halabja Iraq.

Halabja chemical attack
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halabja_chemical_attack

AND poison gas, a WMD, were used in Syria.

Which is worse?

Bridge toll booth Lane closings

or

ignoring calls for backup to fend off al qada attacks resulting in the death of 4 Americans???

Over to you FAKE democrats...

The Bridge story will eventually wind up being only part of the pattern of the Christie and Guadagno team pushing people around. The story of the Hunterdon County Prosecutors who were fired for investigating Guadagno allies has been underreported and insufficiently investigated. Fortunately one of the fired prosecutors is suing. I hope this will become a part of the necessary vigorous journalism needed to keep politicians honest.

"letting 4 Americans die in Benghazi in a terrorist attack due to neglect by the Obama administration"

Try over 2000 Americans dead in Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction in a country that had NO connection to 911

What about that!! "Edward from Washington Heights AKA pretenious (SIC) Hudson Heights" do you need a spelling lesson on how to spell "pretentious"? or just a reality lesson in politics ... or both .. if you can't get your title right.. your politics are wrong too

to Edward ... your logic does not move any one here ... you just show how desperate the Fox News plants are to get their propaganda injected into every discussion. At the same time, you reveal the coming strategy that Roger Ailes will employ to try to "save" Christie ...

Closing 1, 2 or 3 toll booths on the GWB is worse

than letting 4 Americans die in Benghazi in a terrorist attack due to neglect by the Obama administration????

The FAKE democrat party has sunk to a new low.

CC is slimy. This we know. Bit what about the inept appointees in the PA, which has been politicized, lacks transparency with its huge budget, affects millions of us in the tristate region? Are there political appointees in NJ Transit too? It seems like there inexperienced political hacks running that as well after yesterday's transit mess after the game.

Shouldn't downright stupidity be an impeachable offense?

Love that Christie now thinks to highlight what he knew in high school about the guy who was appointed with his blessing.

Christie for President!

Mr. Katz you are much too generous. How can it be Christie didn't know? Members of his administration, along with high level appointees and campaign organization members, were in on the fix. While there is yet hard evidence of involvement, the benefit of doubt for Christie's innocents is standing on a foundation of sand.

Tonisha from Brooklyn, I hear you. But I think there's a reason for what you see as over-coverage. It's a "the harder they come, the harder they fall" phenomenon. Because of the kind of politician Christie has been -- overbearing bully -- his fall is going to be much more interesting than if he had been a milquetoast. He's made so many enemies, there are lots of people salivating for his fall. Plus, he's the governor of a major state, and was considered the top GOP presidential candidate for 2016. This is big.

Peter H. from Brooklyn

Speaking of Christie's governing style & his presidential ambitions, here's a question: would you want Chris Christie in charge of the NSA?

Here's another question, maybe more important: because some politician like Christie could easily become president someday, are you comfortable with the NSA having its current unrestricted powers?

We need evidence to convict him, but the RNC doesn't need evidence to torpedo Christie's presidential bid. People vote based on what they believe, not according to legal findings. Christie's bid is dead.

So many more shoes to drop… if the press, pols and people do their jobs, be a multi-generational rebuilt of the creaky, crappy House of Jersey…

So Christie isn't a bully or vindictive: but he attacks Wildstein viciously for questioning Christie's credibility. So he sticks to the point, doesn't launch collateral attacks - but he raises the germane issue of what Wildstein's social studies teacher may have thought 30 years ago.

Sure.

The over coverage of this issue is now incredibly overdone. OK, he is bad, move on. Have you run out of material. Today marks the first day I saw a coworker change the channel on the BL show to music and not a single person in the office seemed to have an issue with it. What has happened to this show?

"Io voglio vendetta" ( the Simpsons) ... This guy is digging his own grave deeper ... of course if Roger Ailes comes up with some convoluted plan to save him the troops will bleet the propaganda .. but attacking his lieutenant just shows what kind of trash Christie and crew is . That "Joisey" personality just does not work ...

Feb. 03 2014 10:18 AM

Can't we just agree Chrissy is a bad leader and ask him to go away?

Who really is the loser in all this? The people of NJ. I mean, the Gov' had to hide during super bowl week, and thus, so did NJ. It felt like NY's game. And this is going to go on for a year or more, so NJ has only just begun to lose. Christie has revived every comical stereotype of NJ as a sewer.
