Who is Harry Warren?

Airs December 24 at 5PM to 8PM on The Jonathan Channel

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

On Christmas Eve, The Jonathan Channel celebrates the birth anniversary of composer Harry Warren. Working primarily in film, Warren composed over 800 songs. In 1933, he provided the soundtrack for the Bubsy Berekley choreographed film, 42 Street

Throughout his career, he received 3 Academy Awards for Best Song: Lullaby of Broadway (1935), You'll Never Know (1943) and On The Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe (1946). Despite his prolific songwriting and critical acclaim, Harry Warren remains one of the least recognized composers in the Great American Songbook.

Join us as we celebrate the birthday of Harry Warren, through 3 hours of his music. All Harry Warren from 5 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, December 24 on the Jonathan Channel.
