If he were to have any chance in the 2016 republican primary, Senator Ted Cruz needed the blessing of his state, Texas, and the 155 delegates that come along with it.

Those prayers were answered last night. In addition to the Lone Star State, Cruz won Alaska and Oklahoma. Donald Trump won seven states—Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia. Florida Senator Marco won one: Minnesota.

Victoria Coates is the foreign policy adviser for Ted Cruz's campaign. She's also worked for former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, and former Texas governor and GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry.

She was previously on the show to discuss Cruz's foreign policy credentials. She joins The Takeaway today to discuss the Super Tuesday results, and what lies ahead for the Cruz campaign.
