A local fire chief is warning communities around the deadly landslide in northwest Washington to brace for a jump in the death toll today, which is expected to be announced later this morning at a press briefing in the town of Arlington.

Meanwhile, fresh crews are rotating in to relieve exhausted first responders.

This is day seven of the rescue and recovery mission.
