Visas for Crime Victims

New York City will be the first major city to provides visa certifications (that's the first step of the visa process) to undocumented immigrants who are victims of crimes like torture, rape, domestic abuse or trafficking.

Carmelyn Malalis, chair and commissioner of the New York City Commission on Human Rights, explains what qualifies for type U and T visas.
