Street Artist Stik on his Iconic Murals and Graffiti

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jul 18, 2016

Artist Stik first gained recognition as an underground street artist who painted life-size stick figures during the night around London’s East End. He joins us to talk about his first book Stik which showcases his work. He has painted murals in cities, towns and villages all over the world.

Event: Stik will be signing books at Strand Bookstore (828 Broadway at 12th St) from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21. Anyone who attends the event and buys a copy of Stik is eligible to enter a lottery to win a set of limited-edition lithographic cardstock Stik posters, signed by Stik himself. The set, one orange and one blue, are one of only five printed and depict the same image seen on the book’s cover.
