In lieu of a continued feud with a Gold Star family, and refusing to endorse Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senator John McCain, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is creating divisions within the party. The recent arguments may be discouraging GOP voters in swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire, where his support has already dropped to the thirties.

"Clinton people would be very happy if Trump discourages Republican voters," said Susan Page, Washington bureau chief of USA TODAY. "She’s got problems of her own but they sort of pale in comparison to the pain he seems to inflict on himself."
