Sochi 2014: Get To Know Team NYC

The Winter Olympics are underway in Sochi, Russia. The U.S. is sending 230 olympians - the most for any nation in the history of the winter games - to compete in events from bobsledding to curling. Here are the 42 who hail from the tri-state area.

In this interview, Brian Mann of North Country Public Radio and Jenny Ye, a member of WNYC's Data News team, talk about some of the local athletes to watch in the Winter Games, and how you can follow their progress using our Team NYC Olympian Tracker, below.

Sort of disrespectful to where these people are from calling this team NYC. Literally none f these people costed in NYC. What about team tristate? Typical. NYC not even giving respect to ny state.
