Today is Bloomsday! Symphony Space is Celebrating!

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 16, 2017

Today is Bloomsday, where people in cities all over the world come together and celebrate the life of James Joyce, and celebrate his masterpiece “Ulysses” by reading portions of the book aloud. Recently, the actress and producer Aedín Moloney released a recording of Molly Bloom's Soliloquy, which includes music by her father, Paddy Moloney of “The Chieftains.” You can find Vol. 1 here, and Vol. 2 here.
Bloomsday also marks the end of our Ulysses Book Club, which we are celebrating in partnership with Symphony Space for their annual Bloomsday on Broadway event tonight. Symphony Space is also offering our listeners a discounted ticket with the promo code ‘Lopate.’
