Third Coast Percussion Plays Philip Glass with Twyla Tharp at City Center

Choreographer Twyla Tharp and composer Philip Glass have worked together for decades. Twyla is unveiling a new work called Slacktide, which is set to a particular set of works that Glass wrote called Aguas Da Amazonia, or “Waters of the Amazon.” That music has now been rearranged by the virtuoso Chicago group called Third Coast Percussion, who will play Glass’s music live during the performance. Twyla Tharp Dance Company celebrates its Diamond Jubilee at City Center, March 12-16.
