The satirical film tells the story of General Glen McMahon (Brad Pitt), who believes he can an end a long-running war. Inspired by the book The Operators by Michael Hastings, the film is loosely based around the rise and fall of United States Army General Stanley McChrystal during the war in Afghanistan.
