Teju Cole on Art, Politics and Black Lives Matter

Nigerian-American writer and photographer Teju Cole discusses his latest essay collection, Known and Strange Things, covering politics, art, travel, history and literature. His writings include reflections on James Baldwin and Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Virginia Wolfe and the “White Savior Industrial Complex.”  

Events: Teju Cole will be signing books and speaking with Amitava Kumar on Tuesday, August 9th at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s College (245 Clinton Ave, Brooklyn), sponsored by Greenlight Bookstore

On Wednesday, August 10 at 7 p.m., he'll be at McNally Jackson Books (52 Prince Street) in Conversation with Siddhartha Mittar, doing a Q&A and book signing.
