How Tech Isn't Stopping Terror

In the face of terrorist attacks, it's routine for tech companies like Facebook and Googlewhose platforms are frequently used to help radicalize would-be extremiststo assert their commitment to fighting the spread of extremism online. And yet, says Hany Farid, computer science professor at Dartmouth College and senior adviser to the Counter Extremism Project, the actions of these tech giants often belie their stated commitment. Bob talks to Farid about new technology he has worked to develop that could help flag and remove extremist content, and why he believes tech companies aren't more eager to adopt it.
