Today, the Surgeon General Vivek Murthy announced that the escalated use of e-cigarettes among young people is "a major public health concern." The use of e-cigarettes by grade school students and young adults surpassed traditional cigarettes in 2014, which has raised more concerns about the harm that can be done.

For details on this announcement we turn to Michael Eriksen, the founding dean of the School of Public Health at Georgia State University, and former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Office on Smoking and Health.
