Shep Gordon, the consummate Hollywood raconteur, talks about his life and about the new documentary “Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon,” directed by Mike Myers. Gordon has become an institution in the industry, with a roller coaster career that has brought him face to face with some of the most colorful characters in Hollywood. From a chance meeting with musicians Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, Gordon fell into managing Alice Cooper, Blondie and Luther Vandross. Gordon is an expert storyteller and a genius in marketing and monetizing the many worlds he crossed into. “Supermensch” is playing at Angelika.
