The Struggle to Stay Healthy in the Bronx: Wendy's Story

WNYC News | Jun 3, 2014

As part of our Prescription for the Bronx project, WNYC asked photographers at the Bronx Documentary Center to tell stories about health in their own communities BY photographing Bronx residents with their “lifelines.”

Photographer Rhynna Santos brought us Wendy’s story. Like many in the Bronx, over the years, finding healthcare has been a challenge for Wendy, though she’s now covered by Medicaid. If you work in the healthcare industry in the Bronx, or live there, tell us – what do YOU think will make the Bronx healthier? What’s your #rxforbx?
