Ross King reveals the story behind Monet’s beloved masterpiece, Water Lilies in his latest book, Mad Enchantment. King details the artist’s frustration and personal turmoil that belie the tranquil canvases, as Monet, at age 73, was grieving the death of his beloved wife and losing his eyesight to cataracts.
