Using Foster Care As Punishment

The Leonard Lopate Show | Aug 4, 2017

Journalists Stephanie Clifford and Jessica Silver-Greenberg join us to discuss their recent story for The New York Times: “Foster Care as Punishment: The New Reality of ‘Jane Crow.’” They investigated how children have been placed in foster care by the Administration for Children’s Services in NYC's poorer neighborhoods for reasons that wouldn’t lead to the same outcome in more affluent communities.

Jonathan Capehart guest hosted this segment of "The Leonard Lopate Show."
