Julie Samuels, Executive Director of Tech:NYC, the new-established official advocacy group of New York City's tech sector, discusses the city's newly formed technology advocacy group, Tech:NYC.

Samuel's said the main goal of Tech:NYC is to ensure that New York City is the best place to build and grow a tech company. This would involve engaging with local policy makers to discuss and advocate issues, including privacy and security, tax policies; regulatory issues associated with new business models in the tech sector, such as ride-sharing and home-sharing services as well as broader issues such as affordable housing.
