Star soprano Kristine Opolais returns to the stage as Cio-Cio-San opposite tenor Roberto Alagna in Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" at the Metropolitan Opera through April 12th. New York Times review praised her reprisal of the title role in Anthony Minghella's production, noting that her “voluptuous, expressive voice soared over Puccini’s dense orchestration.”
