Hushed but full of emotion, eloquent with empathy and musicality, Susanna's voice is a warm fire in the Nordic night. Norwegian singer, composer, and pianist Susanna Wallumrød has recorded and performed with Susanna and the Magical Orchestra, and these days is presenting her music simply as Susanna. Accompanied by her husband Helge Sten (Deathprod, Supersilent) on electric guitar, and brother Fredrik Wallumrød (El Caco) on drums and vocals, Susanna performs and talks about her music with David Garland in the WNYC Studio. This show first aired March 30, 2014.

Thank you so much! How is it that I had never heard Jeanne Lee and Ran Blake? Today I am listening today, buying tracks on iTunes, making up for lost time. Enthralled.
