With the Senate investigation into Russian interference in the election underway, skeptics are concerned that partisanship could interrupt an aggressive inquiry into the matter. But leaders say that the bipartisan committee's efforts are going well.
Takeaway Washington Correspondent Todd Zwillich caught up with Virginia Democratic Senator Mark Warner, vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
The senator says he wants to assure concerned Americans that Congress can get it right, adding that despite political consequences, both sides want answers, but it is going to take time.
"This is the most important thing I've ever been involved in in public life," Sen. Warner says. "We have a foreign adversary who massively intervened in our election."
