Senate Tracker: How Clinton's Growing Strength Could Affect Georgia's Senate Race

The Hillary Clinton campaign is adding additional resources to the traditionally red state of Georgia after polls show a narrowing margin between her and Donald Trump.

In the U.S. Senate election, Republican incumbent Johnny Isakson is facing off against relative unknown Democrat Jim Barksdale, an investment banker, and an independent, Allen Buckley.

Although the Georgia senate candidates have somewhat distanced themselves from the presidential race, the national stage could have a big impact on the state race in November. Here & Now‘s Robin Young speaks with Celeste Headlee of Georgia Public Broadcasting about the race and what’s ahead.
