The #MeToo hashtag has been used hundreds of thousands of times since it appeared this weekend, allowing women to share their experiences with sexual harassment and assault on social media.

But Jackson Katz says the onus is not on women to come forward in order to create change. Rather, change should begin with men.

Katz is co-founder of Mentors in Violence Prevention training program. He identifies domestic violence and sexual abuse as "men's issues" rather than as "women's issues" as they are traditionally seen, and says that even the language we use to talk about this violence is gendered to place responsibility on women, when it should be on men to change their behavior and the way harassment is talked about.
