Former astronaut Scott Parazynski has had an exciting life. He's coached luge during the Olympic games, participated in five space missions and scaled Mount Everest. He captures his adventures in his new memoir The Sky Below: A True Story of Summits, Space, and Speed, and joins us to discuss it as well as his recent work as a tech start-up CEO.

Scott Parazynski will appear in conversation with Jim Clash at the Explorers Club (46 E. 70th St., between Park and Madison Ave.) on Aug. 2. Reception starts at 6 p.m. Talk starts at 7 p.m. Member ticket price is $10, guest ticket price is $25.
