Richard Thaler, Annie Baker, Viet Thanh Nguyen

The Leonard Lopate Show | Oct 13, 2017

We are taking a look back at some brilliant former guests, who have been recently honored in big ways. In 2015, Leonard spoke with behavioral economist Richard Thaler for his book Misbehaving: The Making of Behavioral Economics. He was awarded this year’s Nobel Prize in Economics. On Wednesday, Viet Thanh Nguyen and Annie Baker were among the 2017 MacArthur grant winners. Annie Baker has been a guest on our show a number of times, and we are revisiting our 2010 conversation with her. And in May, Leonard spoke with Viet Thanh Nguyen, who had then been awarded the Pulitzer Prize, for his collection of stories The Refugees.

Plus, a special intro from Tracy Ullman.
