Yesterday the internet lost its mind because President Obama appeared on Zach Galifianakis' 6-year-long fat joke "Between Two Ferns." The episode was four minutes of jokes followed by a two minute pitch for young people to sign up for health care. And, well, according to Tara McGuinness, Senior White House Communications Adviser it seems to have worked like gangbusters.
Funnyordie video has 11 million views. http://t.co/a7HUExG0vg traffic for yesterday was up almost 40% from Monday.— Tara McGuinness (@HealthCareTara) March 12, 2014
It has also worked out well for its host site Funny or Die, whose site says the video has racked up 12 million views. It's more popular than most of the Between Two Ferns episodes, but still lags behind the Justin Bieber episode, which has 17 million views.
Here's the video if you are one of the 8 people in the country who haven't seen it yet.
For our money, there is no better Between Two Ferns than Jon Hamm's appearance.
