I'm suspect of the Community based options and the answers given by the DOE rep. Will these CBO teachers be licensed NYC DOE teachers, will these CBO facilities have outdoor recreation areas, will they offer breakfast and lunch, and what about security concerns - Will they have School Safety officers assigned? DeBlasio's "rush" to accomplish this is concerning and I do not want to have the monies devoted to this fine endeavor wasted.

So, must Ms. Papas begin every sentence with a crutch word like "so"?

Very glad for UPK, but I don't believe the city presently has full day kindergarten. When will that happen and doesn't it seem odd to offer preK if there isn't full day kindergarten?

I like the way the Spartans raised their children.

where are these schools going to be located?
There's a real need of good schools in general out in the Rockaways, pre-k included. I hope the The Rockaways, as well as inner borough neighborhoods will not be forgotten.

Why not Pre-Pre-Pre-K?

No amount of Pre-Pre-Pre-K can overcome the deficiencies of a home that does not value education, does not provide a safe and loving home for a child.
