Explore music by some of the seminal post-rock bands on this edition of New Sounds, including music by the late guitarist/bassist Jason Noble, a quiet pioneer in the style.  Hear some of his work with bands like Rachel's and the Young Scamels, among others.  Also, there's other post-rock music from bands like Chicago-based Tortoise, Montreal-based Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and the chamber instruments of Clogs.

This was a great program, thanks. Was hoping you'd give an update of what former Rachel's members are doing now. I first heard them on your 2006 show, not realizing that was their swan song. I now have musician kids who'd like to follow where Rachel's members are taking their new sounds. Anything more you can tell us?
Appreciate how much of the music world you let us in on!
