Drawing on the sounds of samba, Bossa Nova exploded from the cafes and night clubs of Rio de Janeiro in the 1950s and it wasn't long before the world took notice. The music of Brazil fills the Great American Songbook and here is our playlist for the first day of the 2014 World Cup.
