Playboy strips what made it iconic: the nude. Does sex no longer sell? When Playboy made its website SFW last year, its web traffic nearly quadrupled and attracted a younger audience. So, the print magazine has announced it will follow suit. In our requiem for the nude centerfold, we look back at the history and cultural impact of the magazine. Brooke talks with Dian Hanson, Sexy Book editor at Taschen, about how the Playboy Playmate revolutionized the nude. Also, we revisit a conversation that Brooke had with Hugh Hefner himself.
