#3672: Piano-Based New Music

New Sounds | Dec 12, 2014

Woodkid (Yoann Lemoine) is a film maker (possibly best known for his work with music videos) and neo-folk songwriter; his 10-minute epic "The Golden Age" is a film and a song, built around Max Richter's piece "Embers."  We'll hear the Richter original and the Woodkid extension of it on this New Sounds.  Plus Lisa Moore plays the delightful piano etudes of Don Byron.  There's also music for piano and cello by Kevin Keller and Clarice Jensen, and music by Polish composer/pianist Tomasz Trzcinski.
