On The Ground In Gaza

Secretary of State John Kerry is in Cairo, hoping to broker a peace deal between Israel and Hamas. Meanwhile, Israel’s ground offensive into Gaza continues, and has resulted in a mounting Palestinian death toll and the capture of an Israeli soldier.

NPR’s Emily Harris joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson from Gaza to discuss what people are thinking, and the fighting both in the tunnels and above ground.
